How Achieve is Responding to COVID-19
Our philosophy as a business is to approach Covid-19 with care, training and a thoughtful approach. Achieve’s top priority is the health and safety of our employees, Clients and of the communities we serve.
Below, you’ll see details of the support measures we’ve introduced so far as a response to Covid-19. We know that everybody’s circumstances are different, and if you have suggestions for how we can better support you, please let us know by emailing COVID-19@AchieveRenewable.com. We promise to listen to your concerns and continually look for ways for all of us to navigate this situation safely.
Work Restrictions
Achieve follows governmental restrictions and recommendations. During the Massachusetts Stay-at-Home period, we postponed all work except emergency repairs. Not all of our Clients were happy about the postponement of part or all of their projects but everyone seemed to understand we were trying to keep everyone safe. During the Phased Re-Opening, Achieve is carefully selecting tasks and projects that can be undertaken with controls to minimize the potential for exposure.
Office Controls
Achieve’s office staff is mostly working from home. Our office facility is available for our use but doors are locked to preclude public access until the Massachusetts Re-Opening Plan allows otherwise. In the past, Achieve has invested in technology that supports remote operation of our business. We are now using those facilities as part of our Pandemic response.
Staff Training for Covid-19
Due to Covid-19 we implemented training intended to improve safety. All of our sales and field staff have undergone OSHA 40-Hour Hazardous Waste Site Operations Training (HAZWOPER). This is very unusual for a geothermal company. The HAZWOPER training includes focus on identification and response to contaminant threats. The trained response can include Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and Engineering Controls (such as ventilation or sanitization). Our HAZWOPER-trained Staff are able to identify threats and act accordingly.
Covid-19 Health and Safety Plan
Our Staff works under a COVID-specific Health and Safety Plan. This involves pre-work health screening, use of PPE, sanitization of work surfaces, and social distancing. We are happy to discuss the specific measures undertaken for your project.
On-Going Review
The COVID-19 Pandemic is a continuously developing situation. Our response to COVID-19 is necessarily dynamic. We regularly review our practices in an effort to adjust to new conditions and improve our implementation.
