Our Largest GSHP Building — For Now

Achieve Renewable Energy, LLC has just completed the installation of a Ground Source Heat Pump (GSHP) system. The GSHP system will heat and cool a 130,000 square foot building in Chelmsford, MA. The specifics of the project are confidential, but we can share some information. With geothermal, the GSHP system heats and cools the entire building  There is no need for any backup or auxiliary heating source. Prior to this, the largest building we had completed was 90,000 square feet. Due to the success of this first project, the same client chose us for their larger project.

The 130,000 square foot building uses GSHPs with variable speed fans and compressors.  Pumps for circulation through the ground source are also variable speed for greater efficiency. Our client will receive approximately $300,000 in financial incentives for this project. In Massachusetts, commercial GSHP projects are very cost-effective. If you have an up-coming construction or renovation project, let us help you evaluate options for a GSHP system.
